International Women’s Day 2021 Interview

Little Curies spoke with Dr. Karuna Ganesh, a physician-scientist at Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK) in New York City. Dr. Ganesh is a medical oncologist with a lab at MSK in the Molecular Pharmacology Department. The Ganesh lab focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms that cause the emergence of regenerative plasticity during metastasis.

Dr. Karuna Ganesh started her education in India and then completed an International Baccalaureate at the United World College in the USA. She studied as a Gates Scholar at Cambridge University in the UK where she obtained a Medical Degree and a PhD in Molecular Biology. Dr. Ganesh trained in internal medicine at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School, after which she joined the medical oncology fellowship program at Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York City.

With her distinguished educational background and professional experience, Dr. Karuna Ganesh is truly an international woman physician-scientist and Little Curies is honored to have had the opportunity to interview her for International Woman’s Day 2021.
